Artist Statement:  

The pictures were taken with a simple background with simple poses to show my simple life.  I had taken these pictures outside so that I could get a good lighting and bright pictures. I had made the photos black and white so that the back ground colors wouldn't take away from the subject, to further draw the eye to the subject I also blurred the background.

Rhythm

Rhythm- objects in pictures that repeat, can create a sense of movement, or can create a pattern/texture.

This photo is an example of rhythm because the bushes in the photo repeat and create a pattern.

Framing

Framing- is simply using other objects in your photograph to frame the main subject

This photo is an example of framing because the subject of the photo is framed by the chain link fence.

Horizontal

Horizontal- when a picture is wider than it is tall

This photo is an example of a horizontal photo because the photo is wider than it is taller.

Sharp Focus

Sharp Focus- is when an image has clear/sharp detail

This photo is an example of sharp focus photography because the photo is clear and shows all the detail of the pencil.

Low key

Low key- a photo with low, less intense light

This photo is an example of low key lighting because the rest of the main focus of the picture is lit up but the rest of the photo is dark.
